What is this?

AviationDepth indexes the FAA Civil Aviation Registry — a public record of every person who holds an active FAA-issued certificate. That includes everyone from student pilots and airline captains to A&P mechanics, parachute riggers, and commercial drone operators. Data is updated weekly from official FAA bulk downloads.

Who uses it?

Aviation employers use AviationDepth to verify credentials before hiring. Flight schools confirm student records. Pilots double-check their own registry entries. Researchers and enthusiasts explore the breadth of certified airmen across the country. The underlying data is public record — we just make it easier to search.

What's included?

Each airman record includes name and location (where not withheld), certificate type and level, all ratings and type ratings held, medical certificate class and expiration, and the FAA unique ID. Some airmen opt out of address disclosure through the FAA — their city and state will not appear.
